#London

This half-term Oak Class have been working for ‘Big Pete’ at Portal City Planners as Town Planners. He asked us to research both London and Paris to see which would be the most suitable for a new village. After lots of research into physical features, human features etc, we decided that London was the most suitable place to build a new village. We had great fun locating both places using a map to see exactly where they ‘fit’ within the world. Continents, countries, cities, towns and villages were all explored.

As if all of this was not enough, we had an awesome 3 day residential to London. We managed to ‘pack in’ so many fun things. We travelled by train to London Kings Cross, saw lots of sites (such as Big Ben, London Eye, Westminster Abbey). On our first day there, we had an amazing tour around the Houses of Parliament and were lucky enough to meet Ian Lavery (our local MP). We watched Wicked at the theatre, which we all LOVED and we took part in a drama workshop where me met an actor from the show.
